Project: Keyboard Switches Review

The Task

I was was invited to a switch testing program by a Keyboard and Switch manufacturer: Akko

Akko is releasing a new line of switches the U1 Switches. They come in 4 different types:

Creamy Purple U1 Tactile
Creamy Yellow U1 Linear
Crystal Silver U1 Linear
Piano U1 Linear

They asked me to pick one of these so they could send them over for review.

I ended up choosing the Cystal Silver U1 as the Silver line of switches has been one of my favourites over the years.

The Deal

The only thing they asked in return was a video review of the switches they have sent me with an unboxing, switch showcase and typing test.

Current State

“Almost” done, actually!

I’m finishing up the video edit to send for review and then release.

This is taking a bit longer than I expected due to my almost non-existant experience in video making & editing, but I’m confident I’ll be done this week.

What’s Next

Finish recording Voice-Over
Finish video edit
Find some royalty free background music
Make a thumbnail
Release for review and then public
